The two most common languages spoken into the microphones in my studio are GERMAN and ENGLISH.
I often do recordings myself although certainly not all the time. Quite often I enlist the help of various colleagues too.
I have received praise both for my German and American English. After all, my English voice has been known around the world for the past 20 years - whether it's at the BBC, NASA, the television network CNN or DW-radio, the English Service of the DEUTSCHE WELLE in Bonn. Productions for which I've either written the manuscript or to which I've lent my voice are being used all over the world.

VOICE SAMPLES

In 1981 I got a call from CFNS, The Canadian Forces Network.
I began contributing English-language radio reports and these soon led to regular slots on air. Then I began writing and recording English and German corporate videos. These are all areas in which I'm still successfully involved today.
We may be born with a certain amount of talent but this does not preclude us from having to prove our professionalism time and time again.

FOREIGN LANGUAGES AT STUDIO NEW SOUND:

English, French, Spanish, Italian, the Portuguese of Brazil, Dutch and many others.
For just this purpose we have our INTERNATIONAL DATABASE OF VOICE ARTISTS.
Speakers from all over the world send me their recordings either on a sound carrier or digitally via the Internet. Alternatively they come to the studio here.

SCRIPTWRITING AND EDITING:

It goes without saying that my team and I are happy to provide help optimizing your manuscripts - regardless of the language. Only after our client has given their okay will we begin production.
It is of the utmost importance for us to continually improve our languages. In addition to our technical skills and our abilities as speakers and actors we all possess valuable experience in journalism.
As I can often be found working as a writer at the microphone I'm well acquainted with the editing side of the job. As I am also a professionally-qualified voice artist I always ensure that my recordings are clear, well thought-out and relevant to the subject at hand.

PRODUCTIONS:

The main focus of our work is producing INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGE RECORDINGS.
We provide the narration for documentary videos for companies and publishing houses.
The majority of our commissions are for sound post production work on multimedia productions and videos (training and PR), voice-overs (German for American, for example) and dubbing. We even produce audio books in our studio.
We script, do the voicework for and set to music television and radio commercials. We also produce reports in English and German for radio stations such as DEUTSCHLANDFUNK and DEUTSCHE WELLE.

Professionalism both as a speaker and an actor is vital in these contexts - and not only for the radio plays and fairy tales at issue here.
We have an extensive SOUND ARCHIVE at our disposal for all our recordings.

VOICEWORK AND SOUNDTRACK:

In the case of videos that are not only narrated but also set to music we can, if requested to, provide MUSIC (even music that is not subject to copyright) and other SOUNDS from our extensive ARCHIVE. Depending on the type and purpose of the product a recording can thus be comprised of all or some of the following: the international sound (IT), commentary, original sounds, atmo and music. .

DIRECTION:

If I'm directing then there'll be someone else at the microphone.
Put simply it's my job to work together with my German and foreign-language voice artists and ensure that we produce the very best recordings possible.

TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT:

STUDIO NEW SOUND is equipped with a digital harddisc recording system for mixing and cutting. All the common analogue equipment is also available. Our sound recording studio is used for airplay productions, also voicework recordings and complete mixings.

MEDIA:

We deliver the finished product to our clients all over the world via email (soundfile, mp3), via MusicTaxi or we produce WAVE-FILES for common sound carriers such as audio CD or CD-ROM. On request we will also use analogue sound carriers.
